I'm 10 months old!

I've gotten bigger! After I didn't gain weight between 6 and 9 months, my Mommy has been stuffing my face every chance she gets. I've gained about a pound and a half in just one month. (This is generally the type of weight gain that occurs with 0-3 month old babies!) All the tests they made me take showed that I was healthy and fine - just genetically petite. I am now 14 pounds, 10 ounces and am 27 inches long... still below the charts, but gaining steadily back up.

There are three major things I enjoy right now. First, I imitate people: I clapped my hands for the first time today, when I was playing "siu pung yau" with Pawpaw (Mommy's Mommy)! I like practicing waving and opening & closing my hands too. Second, I've learned to associate things: I "grrr" like a bear everytime we read my current favorite book "Brown Bear Brown Bear What Do You See?"; and I understand naptime now and have stopped protesting as much. Sometimes I stun my Mom by going down without a peep. Finally, I am having a communication breakthrough! I wave my hand around to tell my Mom that I don't want something (like food), and she gets it!! Finally! I appreciate this so much that I'm trying to call my Mom by her name, but I wind up pursing my lips up and saying "mamamamama"... I'm almost there though!
