The "right" motivation

I have been having fun jumping and doing airplane arms in my swimming class. However, my teacher Bobbi has been trying for a while to get me to blow bubbles in the water. No matter how hard Mommy and Bobbi tried to get me to do it, I refused, and this was the last class. Finally, Mommy noticed that all the kids were getting candy at the end of class, so she said that I would get candy if I blew bubbles in the water. Well, why didn't she say this earlier! Without hesitation, I stuck my head in there and blew bubbles! And you know, it wasn't too bad! I just needed the right motivation...

Check out how much I am totally enjoying myself in the lake. I have come a long way from when I was barely willing to get my feet wet!

I chassé

My first day of ballet class, and I absolutely LOVED it! Ever since the words "ballet class" were uttered, I have been asking about it every day. When the day finally came, I put on my ballet dress immediately and was too excited to snack. But I cried in the beginning of class because there was an audience of mommies in the room, so I retreated to Mommy's lap. Mommy feared that I'd be spending the rest of the 8 classes there. But by the third exercise, when we were to dance to "Wind the Thread..." which we sang at school, I stood up from Mommy's lap, joined the group, and had a big smile for the remainder of the class. This is the first time I have left Mommy's lap like this, so Mommy got all choked up seeing how I have really grown out of my shell and how totally happy I was.

Thanks but no thanks

I enjoyed the rehearsals, but in the end, no school play for me again! I exercised my "nuclear option", telling my teacher I had to pee when I saw all the parents in the audience, so they delayed the start of the school play for me. But afterwards my teacher still took me in front of everyone, and I cried that I wanted my Mommy. So Mommy took me outside so I could cry in private. But I sure liked the cookies that were given out afterwards for trying!

It was Daddy's birthday that day, and I thought this intimate dinner was a much more fun way to celebrate it.
