Beginning communications

I'm beginning to say a few words to my parents. I make only a few sounds, but you have to decipher from context what I'm talking about. For example, everything I say though starts with an M. "Ma?" means 'more' or 'I want that'; "Meh" can mean milk; "Mama" means 'mama' or 'carry me' or 'do this for me'.

The other sound I make is panting. I pant every time I see a picture of a dog, when I am describing something as hot, or if I see a horse.

Talking is slow going but I understand what people are saying and always seem to get what I want, so what's the hurry?

Walking up the stairs

I figured out how to walk, not crawl, up the stairs! My parents were a little nonchalant about the whole thing, but luckily Isabella spoke up and said "Do you want to take a picture?" She knows our parents too well...

Sledding fun

I loved sledding. When my Mom asked me if I liked it, I nodded, clutching the sled and carrying it all the way up the hill myself! (while she was carrying me...) I can't wait to race down the hill like the big kids!

Love.

All of that affection from my Mom and sister are rubbing off. Now my favorite activity is to run to or leap on top of my sister to give her a big hug.

A new smile

I woke up a couple of weeks ago and surprised my parents with a new smile! My bottom left central incisor cut through first, then a few days ago my second (upper left central incisor) popped out. Now the pairs for both of these are coming out all at once. Looks like I'll have 3 teeth by the end of the week!

(p.s. That's ikura and uni smeared all over my face. They're yummy. I've got expensive taste!)

No tears

For the first time today, I arrived at school and walked straight in without crying!
