I'm born and raised in San Francisco, one of the most beautiful cities in the world (a Lowell girl!). I majored in economics at Berkeley, spent time in Poland as an AIESEC trainee at a state owned bank, worked and traveled a ton as a consultant at Peterson Consulting, and then with PricewaterhouseCoopers' Corporate Value Consulting group in Hong Kong and San Francisco. I married my best friend and most wonderful man, Rich, a month before moving to New York for my MBA at NYU Stern, then moved to Tokyo to finally live with him after spending the first 2 years of our marriage separated by half the globe. I had a brief stint as Message Boards Product Manager at America Online and a consultant at RAN ONE. I am currently a stay at home mom for my very adorable and fabulous kids Isabella and Sebastian. You can say that I'm taking time to enjoy the biggest, wildest, scariest, funnest, most challenging, never-a-dull moment adventure in my life!

In between all that, I enjoyed my favorite hobby – traveling, especially foreign travel. There is something about going to a foreign country where you don’t speak the language and everything is different that is just exhilarating. I love learning about new cultures and new people, how they live, what they eat. My favorite part of traveling is trying local cuisine and experiencing the quirkiness of life as a local. I love new experiences and adventures, and have lived in 4 different cities as a result: Katowice, Poland ('92); Hong Kong (97-98); New York (99-01); Tokyo ('01-'02). (I’m a big city girl.) I've also visited Poland, the Czech Republic, Germany, Austria, Italy, Slovenia, France, Denmark, Holland, Spain, Mexico, Canada, England, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia (Bali), China, Jamaica, Bahamas, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Thailand, Taiwan, Switzerland, Morocco, Jordan, Egypt, Tunisia, Belize, Philippines, Hungary, Gibraltar, Belgium, Turkey. (I'm not including any U.S. destinations.) Luckily, I got much of the travel bug out of my system because my life has totally SLOOOOOOWED down. But one day soon we will take our kids with us as we continue to explore the globe. I am sure traveling with them will be a little different because we won’t be eating at hole in the wall restaurants, having busy itineraries, spontaneously deciding to visit another spot and hoping to find a hotel when we arrive. The last several times we traveled, we stayed at big resorts (room service! babysitting services! pool access!), something that I would never have done before. Next thing you know, I'll be on a - gasp! - Disney cruise! But you know, everything does change with kids.

I am also a photo freak, a major foodie (especially trying new restaurants and foods), a wino, and a dancing fanatic. As you can see, I also enjoy writing nonsensical things on my children's and my blog.
