Not as American as I thought

At my 16 month well baby appointment today, I weighed in at 17 pounds 11.6 ounces (<5%), 29 1/4 height (5th percentile), and 44.5 (<5%) head circumference. My percentiles are so below all of the standard charts, that my doctor has started using the World Health Orgnization's infant growth chart instead. This chart compares me to kids in Brazil, Ghana, India, Norway, Oman, and the US - and guess what! On this chart, I'm actually ON a curve - the 5th percentile line! I have more in common with a kid in Ghana than an average American kid from Iowa.
